While the rest of Europe is into a cold Autum, I am trying out finger food for a party in the hot sun and heat!
200 gr raw peanuts
1, 1/2 tspn brown sugar
1/2 tspn fine sea salt
1/2 spoon good hot ground peperoncino
1 tspn pumpkin oil (Austrian) this gives them a nice brown hue

1 kg spinach washed, steamed and drained of all water.

300gr ricotta cheese
2 eggs
s & p, grated nutmeg,parmesan cheese

Luca’s porcini Mushroom and tomatoe sauce
600gr porcini mushrooms
10 small pacchino tomatoes
garlic, parsley, s & p
extra virgin olive oil

Fennel with rosemary and orange honey

Coming back from Sardinia, I still have the taste of this dish in my mind.

Here is my version for 4 people:
4 fennel bulbs
1 large spoon honey
1 sprig of rosemary, 2 large garlic cloves
juice of 1 orange
30gr butter (I use ghee)
s & p, small glass white wine

Chestnut Feast in Canepina

From 11, 12-18, 19-25, 26th OCtober 2008 you can visit Canepina near Viterbo for the Feast of Chestnuts.
How go get there by car.- Take the Autostrada A1, Exit at Orte and pass Vasanello, Vallerano until you reach Canepina. You can also take the S.S.Cassia and follow the map.

I was invited to have my birthday dinner in Olbia at the ‘Gallura’ during a weeks holiday in Sardinia.
