cooking lessons and market visits in Rome

Through the changing seasons come and enjoy a hands-on lesson in a lovely private terraced home in the centre of Rome. Ren and Francesca start off by taking you to the local farmer’s market to choose our products amongst the awesome display of fresh fruit and vegetables available in Rome from the fertile country farmers. After wakening the taste buds we head off down the road to our home-school.! Making things easy, you are hosted by an English speaking ‘adopted’ Roman. Classes are from 10.30a.m.-2.30pm. (or can be arranged in the evening as well  according to your schedule) We’ll begin by making handmade taglietelle and ravioli stuffed with spinach and fresh buffalo ricotta cheese, stewed Roman artichokes, fried zucchini flowers, saltimbocca alla Romana, pear and macarron pie,  and whatever is seasonal at the market.cooking

The classes are especially child friendly and leave them with an everlasting love of cooking after their Roman holiday. They never knew how easy it was until they learnt! So bring your children or grandchildren with you. We give them a hands-on home made pasta lesson from the making to the cooking – with the rolling pin roller and the machine. Furthermore if there is something specific you would like to learn we would be happy to help.A FUN TIME TO ENJOY A COMMUNAL EXPERIENCE IN A ROMAN HOME AND EAT WHAT YOU COOK!

My adult children and I will be in Rome from 21-28 May. Would you have 3 other people for us to join? Which days? What is the cost per person?

We are staying on the Via Madonna dei Monti.

    Thank you!

    Susan Gwilliam

i am hoping to take a cooking class with my 13 year old son. We love to cook and eat! We are from Canada and will have the opportunity of visiting Rome in May 09. My husband would enjoy taking the Frescoe painting class and perhaps we could all join up at lunch time.
    Thanks,
    Gilda Ennis

    Hi,
I am also interested in cooking lessons. How much do you charge per lesson? When is the next lesson?
    Thanks,
