Wine Bar ‘Cesaretto’
Angelo Calvino grew up in East Africa and had a very adventurous life. When he married and had two children in Rome his wife got so tired of him partying at home and cooking and making merry with all their friends that she suggested he made his talents go public!
And so ‘Cesaretto’ was born. A fun place right in the centre of Rome where you can go and have a plate of grilled vegetables, any kind of salad, pasta and typical Italian ‘dolci’, enjoyed with a glass of wine. There are tables outside, tables inside near the bar and downstairs is a tiny restaurant – Between 18.30 and 20.30 there is a Buffet Plate for € 4.50. Just perfect for a bite before the theatre or the movies.
Via Bocca di Leone 44/a
Times: Monday 17.30 to 24.oohrs. Tues.to Sun. 12.00 to 24.00

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with Angelo on his son’s birthday. The food, the wine and the company were all wonderful. Grazie Angelo

Our family was in Rome for two days in June. We were fortunate to find Wine Bar Cesaretto and meet Angelo Calvino, his sons and many of his friends. The food was wonderful, as was the wine and the price. I think it was one of our most memorable experiences in Italy.
If you want a fine meal, extraordinary hospitality and lasting memories, go to Wine Bar Cesaretto.
