cooking lessons in Rome

Through the changing seasons enjoy a hands-on lesson in a lovely private terraced home in the centre of Rome. Ren and Francesca guide you through beginning with hand made pasta. We start off going together to the local farmers market to choose our products and enjoy the awesome display of fruit and vegetables available from the Roman countryside. Then once we have started the taste buds we move on to our home-school.! To make things easy you are hosted by an English speaking ‘adopted’ roman. Classes are from 10.30 a.m. – 2.30 p.m. We’ll begin by making handmade pasta to shape into ravioli stuffed with spinach and buffalo ricotta and taglietelle and its accompanied sauce. Learn how to make gnocchi, stewed roman artichokes, fried zucchini flowers, tiramisu without eggs and saltimboca alla Romana or whatever the menu of the day is.You can take your pick at the market. Evening classes can be arranged and you are welcome to invite guests for the meal.
